Bomb-bastic

Project Description

Bomb-Bastic was created by a team of 5 using Unreal Engine 4 for the Epic Games April 2016 Game Jam. Bomb-Bastic​ is a 1v1 local multiplayer game.Spring into action! Fight for the future as the Eco-Terrorists take on the Scientists in the most epic battle for reality the world has ever seen! This game is a 1 VS 1 game, where each player must lob a time-bomb to blow up the other player's reality to substitute their own! Will the Eco-Terrorists claim victory? Or will the Scientists reign supreme? Play to find out!

Design
  • The goal was to create a fun environment for the player to ricochet the bomb to score.

  • The blue outline boxes outline 20 degree incline slopes the player can use to bounce the bomb off of.

  • The red outline boxes indicate areas the player must defend. These serve as goals for the bomb to land in.

  • The orange outline boxes serve as respawn points for the bomb.

  • In the center is a chasm that the bomb can fall into. If the bomb is shot by the player and it falls into the center the bomb is then given to the opposing player to serve.

  • Also in the center are wall pieces of varied sizes and shapes that flow from the top to bottom. These walls can be used by the player to bounce the bomb in different angles misleading the opposing player to possible bomb landing spots.
